Kids Take Over UBC 2026 | Discounted Parking Guide

Thanks to UBC Parking, Kids Take Over UBC guests can enjoy all day parking (until 11:59pm) on Sunday, February 15 at a discounted rate of $4, plus processing fees.

Discounted parking is only available to guests that self-register and pay through HONK mobile by following the instructions below. Refunds will not be provided.

Where do I park?

The discounted rate is only available if you park in one of the designated event parkades listed below:

Closest to Lee Square Plaza (<8 mins walk):

In the Arts & Culture District:

In between the two dining halls:

 

*Please use the festival map to decide which parkade is closest to your activities of interest.

How to pay for parking:

Option A. Flexible Parking (Move between parkades) 

This option allows you to move your vehicle between designated parkades on event day.

You may pay for parking either before arriving on campus or after you have parked. Parking spaces are not guaranteed until your vehicle is parked.

Beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 15, you may set up your parking payment in advance by following the instructions below:

1. Use this link for any of the designated event parkades (listed above): Click here to pay for parking

* Login to HONK mobile or create an account

3. Select the rate: Kids Love UBC

3. Enter your licence plate ID

3. Click “Add promo” and enter the code: YAYUBC

5. Check the rate to ensure the discount has been applied

6. Complete the transaction

 

Option B. Pay from a paystation after you have parked 

Please note: Parking purchased with this option cannot be transferred and is valid only at the selected parkade.

1.  In the parkade, locate a pay station and look for the sign with the QR code.

2. Using your smartphone, open your camera app and scan the QR code to launch HONK mobile.

3. Enter your licence plate ID

4. Click on “Add promo” and enter the code: YAYUBC

5. Choose the rate: Kids love UBC

6. Check the rate to ensure the discount has been applied

7. Complete the transaction
