About Campus + Community Planning

UBC Inspired, part of Campus + Community Planning

Supporting a vibrant and connected campus

Fostering connection and community is key to supporting a vibrant, sustainable, resilient campus where everyone feels safe, welcomed, and included. UBC Vancouver is a big place, with over 60,000 students, 15,000 staff and faculty, and 23,00 people living in student residences and campus neighbourhoods— community programs and events help make a big place like UBC feel smaller and more connected and inspire a sense of belonging. We hope that you’ll find your community (or communities) here at UBC!

UBC Inspired (formerly UTown@UBC) is part of the Community Development and Transportation unit in Campus + Community Planning, and supports C+CP’s goal of transforming UBC into a complete, sustainable campus community by collaborating with campus partners to fund and deliver programs for all ages, build community, create fun events, and design creative ways for people to connect with one another.

Campus + Community Planning works collaboratively to create a vibrant and resilient campus for an engaged community on the traditional territory of the Musqueam people. UBC is a living lab for a sustainable future. Campus Vision 2050, is UBC’s long-range plan for how the campus will change and grow to support the needs of the university, its students, faculty, residents and staff, and Musqueam. Guided by community input, we are intentionally transforming our campuses into inspiring places to live, work, learn and play.
