Thrive by the Fire

Connect with community, take some time to unwind, and learn about, talk about, and explore ways to support mental health year-round

To celebrate the start of Thrive month, we are pleased to bring you Thrive by the Fire, a cozy concert outdoors.

Join us for a one-day pop-up event that transforms Money and Raymond MC Lee Square into a supportive space for connection, community, and arts and culture. Gather ‘round the fire at toasty tables, and take in some chill tunes from Blank Vinyl Project, featuring UBC’s own student musicians, check out the Thrive resource fair, full of on-campus supports. Make sure you come with the title of your go-tune tune that helps you Thrive, and add it to our community playlist!

Everyone is welcome at this FREE drop-in style event:

  • Wednesday, November 5, 2025
  • 11:00am to 2:00pm
  • Money and Raymond M.C. Lee Square, outside by the UBC Bookstore
  • Limited toasty table seating available on a first-come-first-served basis
  • Thrive resource booths

Event takes place outdoors and will run rain or shine (tenting available in the event of rain)

This year’s Thrive by the Fire performers are:

We’re thrilled to announce this year’s talented line-up of student performers from Blank Vinyl Project, UBC’s student run live music club:

She learned guitar and piano to accompany her voice and allow her to write. Shane Garner | @shanegarner_

“Folk musician from Vancouver”

Sophie Rolfsen | @soph.rolf

Sophie enjoys singing soul, jazz, R&B, or anything with some sweet melodic tunes!

Zoë Clementine | @zoegelleralford

Zoë = lover of mycelium and earnest displays of emotion. Also a songwriter from California! She Loves You!

The Trinkettes |
